Kenka Bancho 4 vs. Gyouza no Osho - it could get messy!

If you’ve been in Japan for, say, 72 hours, chances are you’ve been to a branch of delightful dumpling chain Gyouza no Osho. Which leads us nicely in to the upcoming PSP addition to Spike’s popular teenage punk brawl ‘em up Kenka Bancho, the fourth game in the series, which has achieved something of a corporate crossover coup by featuring actual (OK, polygonal) Gyouza no Osho eateries in its urban game world.

Step inside and you’ll be able to order any dish from a replication of the genuine Gyouza no Osho menu, all accurately priced but with slightly exaggerated rewards for consumption: dumplings eaten in Kenka Bancho 4 will restore your energy levels, whereas the actual things will just make you feel a bit sick and initiate a deep sense of longing for another pint of 生 beer.

The game? It’s due out on February 25th, and word is there will be more deals with famous Japanese commercia-names before then.

210 yen for a plate of famous Osho gyouza, and you'll get yer energy bar repleted as part of the bargain. Still not as cheap as Yoshinoya!
