Cyber Troopers Virtual-On Force on Xbox 360 – first trailer stomps into view!

“The Fourth Is The Force” (and SEGA Japan PR’s got a lisp)…

A couple of weeks back, SEGA o’ Japan crawled its way through a tedious and ultimately meaningless PR exercise, running a countdown, one day at a time, until it amazed the whole wide world (slight overstatement) by revealing that its “next 360 action” title would in fact be… a port of 2001-vintage robo-fighter Virtual-On Force.

The 360 port is apparently “coming this winter” and features bonuses including four-player split-screen action (remember that?), Live online play and the smartest renditions of Raiden, Temjin, Apharmd and co. – possibly ever.

SEGA Japan has kindly released the first trailer for the game, which we’ve embedded above because we’re nice like that, and which should give you some idea of where this one sits in the Virtual-On “oeuvre” (hint: it’s somewhere near the top of the pile, with its foot on Marz’s crotch).
