Sorry, this competition is now closed!

There may not be a glitzy launch event in Leicester Square this year – and it may be fighting for attention with the massive launch of Kinect – but today Call of Duty is back, and if it ain’t the single biggest release of the year then we’d like to know what is.

Apocalypse Now quotes on a postcard please.

Black Ops takes players around the globe and behind enemy lines in the new campaign mode, and if early reviews are to be believed, seriously raises the bar for online gameplay with new features including player customization, combat training and video recording capabilities to capture favourite gameplay experiences.

In a launch press release, Treyarch’s Mark Lamia pipes up: “Treyarch wanted to give Call of Duty fans the ultimate entertainment package this year. Black Ops delivers an epic and cinematic single player experience, an incredibly deep multiplayer offering, and endless hours of co-op fun with Zombies.”

Fantastic. To celebrate, we’ve teamed up with friendly high street retailer Argos to give away three copies of the game – one for Xbox 360, one for PS3, and one for the Wii.

All you gotta do is email us at [contest now closed, sorry!] with your answer to the following question:

Q: Apart from the stuff we already mentioned, what else is a ‘first’ for the Call of Duty series in Black Ops this year? Is it:

a) The first CoD to be set in the past?
b) The first CoD to be playable in 3D?
c) The first CoD developed by Treyarch?

…and remember to state which format you want – PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii. Also include your mailing address. The games are UK versions but the contest is open to anyone. Easy!

As is usually the case with such big releases, the publisher’s been a bit stingy on the review copies front, but we’ll be bringing you our review hopefully later this week.

Check out our massive interview with Mark Lamia here.

The prizes have been supplied courtesy of Argos, who provide a wide range of Xbox 360, PS3, and Nintendo Wii video games. Check them out!
